IMPROVISATION 102: CHARACTERS AND SCENES

Our intermediate course teaches students the core fundamentals and improvisational concepts for a professional quality stage performance – how to enhance listening abilities, utilize standard game structures and other effective group scene techniques required for killer stage work.

A great class for those interested in pursuing ensemble work, understanding scene writing constructs from a actor’s point of view or those looking to take the leap into starting or performing with professional-level improv and sketch comedy troupes.

We’ll train your funny bone for 8 weeks and teach you how to achieve maximum effect to:

  • Develop solid characters with effective status and depth.
  • Learn storytelling elements and honing group dynamics within a scene.
  • Making active choices, building upon ideas and scene forwarding tricks of the trade.
  • Exploring your mind with the use of imagery to portray an environment.
  • Live stage performance formats and stepping up to the professional ranks.

Includes FREE BONUS 30 minute private coaching session ($75 value)

After the final session, we help you punch up your skills with one-on-one high-powered coaching. Get your performances dissected with a fine-tooth comb and ask for final individualized advice on just about anything.
